Dr. Martinez is charmingly intelligent and her human experiences make the course easy to understand, when is actually very technical material which is being dealt with. Dr. Martínez-Diez is an expert in Communications, Marketing, Polling and Investigations.
The course is designed as collaborative learning, throughout the whole semester, with the goal of handing in an Communication Investigation Proposal. Each student has a different position or function within the group (Information Gatherer, Coordinator and Minute Writer), each team will have from three to four members. The course has a series of individual and collective homeworks, that will gradually, make different parts of the Investigation Proposal. The Communication Investigation Proposal will be handed-in individually, by each student, not one Proposal per team.

Advice for students:
Meet in person, as many times as you can. Also, make a WhatsApp group for constant communication. When looking for possible investigations, look for the narrowest, smaller variable possible. The course is designed to use the Scientific Method. Statistics are vital, for empiric data.
