I think that Dr. Pedro Resto gives special consideration to what is really important about the topic, making it easier to understand.
For me the course was given in a very dynamic way. Exams were not complicated if you practice the problems given by the professor. I learned to model dynamic systems (mechanical, hydraulic, thermal, etc) and their mathematical responses to describe their behaviour under specific conditions.

My course of action was to read the whole chapter before making any problems. I scheduled specific times to read the material, and then I made all of the problems given (and more if you have time). It will help you if you make like a chart emphasizing the differences between every system.
