    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The class size is typically small which makes for a very interactive class. The professor is very helpful.

    Course highlights:

I gained a thorough understanding of the subject and as a result became even more passionate about the subject.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Review the material after each class to stay on top of the work.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Definitely worth taking if you are pursuing a degree in Biology, or a career in medicine. Not the most interesting course to take, especially at 8:30am, but the professors are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the stuff they teach.

    Course highlights:

Concepts addressed will probably have shown up in previous biology courses (if you're an upperclassmen); you just go a bit more in detail (learn about proteins and the biological processes).

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely do NOT need the book. Lectures and powerpoint slides are more than enough. Taking the time to learn names of proteins will definitely be worth the effort. Details are key.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Definitely worth taking if you are pursuing a Biology degree, and/or considering a medical career. Class itself is not the most exciting thing, especially not at 8:30am, but the professors are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the topics they cover.

    Course highlights:

Concepts addressed will probably have come up in other Biology courses; you just go a bit more in depth with this course (learn more about proteins and such that are involved with biological processes).

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely do NOT need the book. The powerpoint slides and lectures will be more than enough. The key to doing well in this class is to focus in on the details. Big picture stuff is important, of course, but learning names of proteins and stuff is definitely worth the effort.
