    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Firstly the professor was amazing ! Secondly, HR was one of the most interesting classes I think I've taken. There's a little bit of everything in it: accounting, management, marketing , etc. HR is necessary for all majors in my opinion just because it covers so much and its great knowledge to have. It's fascinating knowing how important the hr department of a company really is. Normally when people think of hr they think or recruitment, training and conflict resolution but it is so much more than that. An Hr department can actually make or break a business along with many other things of course. Anyway I recommend this class to all students at Johnson and wales. I promise you'll love it !

    Course highlights:

A brief overview of some of the things we talked about was the recruitment, selection and training process . Incentives for employees and what kinds of benefits companies provided in order to motivate their employees. We also spoke about why equality in the work place or the EEO (equal employment opportunity laws).

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

This course is far from difficult if you actually do the readings. We did a lot of discussion threads so if you don't read It's easy to fall behind. Regardless of where you take the class your participation is important and will be a large percent of your grade. I must admit the readings were long but it'll be worth it in the end. Remember you aren't simply taking a course to pass, you are taking it to learn. Understand what you're doing and retain the information you'll be very successful in the end .
