Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This is a great class that really opens your eyes to correct way to lead your event planning team. The professor is great. He is very thorough and interested in teaching and giving a lot of information related to the industry of event planning.

    Course highlights:

The highlights for this course was really the professor. The course load is rather project heavy however the professor was always a short email away for further explanations, questions, or debates about grading and scoring. Despite working in a resort for over 10 years I learned that a lot of the event planning that happens there is completely wrong... and that the biggest part of event planning is in the "pre-planning".

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Time management is key to the success of this course. It has an ongoing group project where pieces are due every week, in addition to scholarly discussion boards, and individual project work. In my group I had worked with 2 out of the 3 of my group members I had worked with before so it was somewhat of a breeze because we were familiar with one another. One thing that helped us was every week we had a conference call on Monday or Tuesday and divided the group work. We also had a group text set up in case any of us needed help with our sections. It really helped us stay organized and submit our project portions on time. It really helped my group especially since all 4 of us were on completely different time zones.
