Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Phyllis is an amazing and inspiring woman and professor. She is so kind and helpful, and she has so much knowledge to share. If you intend on working with children or parents, or even ever want to have children yourself, I highly recommend this course.

    Course highlights:

I learned all about the common mistake parents make, and how each and every choice we make as parents effects our children. This course is amazingly helpful if you plan on working with families upon graduating, but do not have children yourself. This course left me feeling extremely confident in my ability to advise parents and families and to provide them with sounds and useful information and counseling.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

This is an amazing course, but it fast-paced and will require you to keep up with reading and refreshing your knowledge on theories and stages.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this class because you learn things that are used in real life situations. Learning how to be a good parent and learning about different parenting styles is important for anyone who wants to become a parent one day, or even for those who are already a parent. The professor is extremely engaging, hands-on, and helpful to all students in the class.

    Course highlights:

In this class, I learned about how much technology has affected the younger generation, in positive ways, as well as negative. I learned about the different parenting styles and how children react to each parenting style.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The advice I would give to students taking this course is read the chapters and do an exceptional amount of research for the final paper and your topic. If needed, attend the office hours and ask for help because it is always given. Make sure to do the weekly assignments because they will help final grade if you do poorly on the exams or writing assignments.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I love this course so far! It teaches a lot of applicable information to both your personal life as a future parent, as well as your professional life if you choose to work with children and families.

    Course highlights:

We are learning about different discipline methods for children right now. I definitely think this is useful information for anyone currently in school as most of us will become parents some day and will have to discipline our children in the future.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you keep up with the reading and assignments
