    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course was a breakthrough class for me. It helped me start to analyze and see deeper levels in literature that I ever saw before. The Yellow Wallpaper was one short story that stuck a cord with me and I always come back to it when I want to get back to my roots.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to break down a story and see the less obvious underlying messages an author is trying to portray. I had a tendency to take things at face value and not see the different layers that were right in front of my face.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If you think you are an excellent paper writer, be prepared to be ripped apart. That's not a bad thing, however. The tough curriculum will actually make you a better writer in the end. If you don't like papers though, I'd try to find something a little less writing intensive.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This class was interesting. Every week you'd read about 2 or 3 short stories and the professor discusses them in class.

    Course highlights:

Every story in this course had its own lesson so you'd learn something new every week

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Spend time editing your papers and do well on your outlines
