    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend communication 100 with Kristine Cabral because she engages students in interactive discussions and imparts wisdom that extends beyond the information in the textbook. She makes the material applicable to everyday life and helps students develop stronger communication skills.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of the course were the classroom discussions. Professor Cabral does an excellent job of creating a relaxed environment that promotes student participation. I was able to significantly improve my communication skills throughout the course by learning about mindfulness, listening, and clear speaking. The benefits of taking a communication fundamentals course will stretch beyond the classroom and help a person to effectively deal with people and build stronger relationships.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you are like me and have a fear of public speaking, taking a communication class may seem like a daunting task. However, keep in mind that the experiences and knowledge provided by the course will improve your ability to communicate effectively and help you have more productive interactions with others. This class has changed my life, and it can have a positive impact on your life as well.

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course if you are a communications major and interested in pursuing it throughout your college career.

    Course highlights:

Throughout the semester, we covered several different topics and learned how to speak publicly. For myself, the highlight of this course was becoming a better public speaker.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Much of the work for this class are the speeches, so make sure that you're outlines and note cards are complete and detailed enough for the speech. Practicing beforehand helps as well.
