    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

While this course did entail a lot of work, the skills you gained from doing to community needs assessment and intervention are critical if you wish to continue pursuing a career in public health.

    Course highlights:

one of the main highlights was learning how to develop a community needs assessment. Being able to work as a group to develop an APA formatted scientific paper was very beneficial. That skill has come in hand at an internship I am at right now. With that, I gained skills in using SPSS software systems which is again critical for a public health graduate career.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would reccommend that you don't take this course at the same time as Biostatistics. Also, pay attention to when things are due because often times the teacher doesn't remind you along the way that things are becoming close to the deadline. remind yourself.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

A ton of work but inspiring to commit to a term group assignment and be pushed and tested at a high pace level. Prepare for a whirlwind of papers, projects, and more.

    Course highlights:

The group assignment had several smaller assignments. Choosing a topic in tbe beginning is the key to a successful semester. Make sure the topic is something you are interested in or the assignments will become mundane. You will do extensive research into the topic and learn a complete background about it.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Do as much work in the beginning as you can and stay caught up on all the readings. Communication with your professor and group members is much appreciated and opens the door to future references.
