Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course helps teach the overall development of humans. It shows the important part of a person's growth and how we can help maximize the potentials of a child

    Course highlights:

As we grow our brain does not change but develops, children are constantly expanding and reorganizing their mental structures as they process experiences. Social competence is linked to emotional wee-being and a kid's ability to adapt their environment

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to take good notes in the class, make sure you go over it after class. Make sure you read about the upcoming topic before you come to the class. Pay attention in class and if possible record the teacher if applicable

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I've never had a large lecture class where participation was not only encouraged, but expected of the student. Dr. Ladd is a great professor and really gets you to think critically about all the concepts presented in class.

    Course highlights:

I would say that the highlight of the course was discovering in detail the workings of the human brain and body, which in turns helps one discover the inner workings of the self. I'm a firm believer in the idea that one must know themselves before they can know other people, so this class is imperative to human understanding.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

ALWAYS SHOW UP TO CLASS! Dr. Ladd goes over everything in detail and helps you put concepts into your own words, which is an experience you don't receive if you don't show up!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course brings all aspects of human development throughout the lifespan in a very organized and interesting way. I have learned about topics that I had no idea were relevant to human development.

    Course highlights:

Many of the theories of development really opened my eyes to how our brain works as we as humans get older. There is a lot more research done on childhood development with many different theorists covering the same topic so you can see development in different point of views.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to go to class. The notes she talks about in class will 100% be on the test. Reading the book is also very important because some of her multiple choice on her tests come from the book.
