Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Dr. Hagley is easily the most brilliant professor in the Political Science/IR Department. She is fun and engaging, but her class is content heavily. Be ready to do work and lots of studying. It is an entertaining class that still reaps many educational benefits. Our classes usually are conducted through lectures, movies, documentaries, and powerpoints. She is also very willings to talk about contemporary topics and likes to hear the opinions of the students.
I think the highlight was learning about the Congress. Prior to this course, I knew next to nothing about the US legislative system--I never took any classes on it and everything I read made it sound so complicated. Hagley really broke it down for us. I also enjoyed learning about Public Policy, mostly because I didn't even know public policy was an actual term before she taught it to us.

Advice for students:
I would recommend everyone to take it. For many students, it is actually a required course, but even if it isn't required I would still take it. I think it's important for every American citizen to have a basic understanding of how the American government works.
