    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Mele is an amazing professor! His classes are always interactive, and he gets you to think about the major ideas and issues through the discussions.

    Course highlights:

I've learned to take an in-depth look at the various topics that we have discussed and are currently major topics in this world. Some of the highlights of the course were some of the activities that we did, which were really eye-opening to see the results of when everyone participated.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would say to do the readings before each class, to get a sense of what you will be talking about for the upcoming week.

    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend taking this course with Dr. Clements as she gives thorough notes and expectations. This leads to an organized class and makes learning easier.

    Course highlights:

Many of the topics the course covered were relevant to social realities of today. We learned about gender, race, and ethnicity.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Give her exactly what she wants. Use lots of examples from the text in short answers and essays and be able to apply them.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It is a very difficult course that requires a lot of reading and studying. Lectures are very unfocused and hard to follow but interesting. The professor is very passionate about the topics.

    Course highlights:

The most fun assignment is the group project with local non-profit organizations when we developed a video that showed the relationship to the sociological imagination.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You must be up for the challenge and really pay attention. If you have no interest in sociology it is not worth suffering through.
