Principles of Marketing is a class that allows the students to get their feet wet in the world of marketing. Professor Spencer is a fantastic teacher, and he really brings the materials to life. From the requirement to read the Wall Street Journal, to fact that all of the tests came directly from the notes, this class was very engaging and useful.
What did I gain from this course? I gained the ability to take notes, to read a newspaper, and to identify basic marketing tools that are implemented almost everywhere. I will definitely take the study skills, and the real-world information that we discussed in class with me throughout my career.

Advice for students:
To succeed you need to make sure that you take notes. It is the most important aspect of the class, and without the notes you are sunk. The tests and the quizzes all come directly from the notes, sometimes verbatim.
