Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class to anyone who wants to learn the basics in the area of biology. The class is challenging, but with hard work it is do-able for anyone.

    Course highlights:

I greatly enjoyed going over the topic of genetics. Dr. Lamb kept the content interesting and showed me the amazingness of genetics.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Over the course of the semester, students are required to submit 80 points worth of papers based off a list of articles given by the professor. These papers greatly effort a students overall grade. I completed all 80 points, which boosted my grade two percentage points bringing me from a B+ to and A-.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Most students taking this course are required to do so by their program of study. However, it's a great class that I think most anyone with an interest in biology would enjoy. What really makes this class is the teacher. Dr. Lamb is an expert in the realm of biology, and he's always ready to answer questions from a knowledgeable perspective.

    Course highlights:

This course taught me plenty of basic aspects of biology--cellular respiration, cytology, and classification. Along with the biology learning, though, I also learned how to apply the material I was learning. Unlike the term-definition classes I had in school, Dr. Lamb made us think about the concepts by asking how a concept would be applied in a real-life situation.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Get all the bonus points that you can, and do the outlines that he offers at the beginning. The outlines will not only help you for the extra points, but they're also great study material for the test. If you have any questions in the course, don't be afraid to ask! Dr. Lamb is eager to answer any questions.
