Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Abdo is a very good teacher and clear in his descript but he expect a lot from every student. If you want to grow and have a great career as a student then take this class. If you think this class is not important and you will be a engineer who works only with numbers then you can be disappointed with taking this class.

    Course highlights:

I learnt the basic fundamentals involving English Literature and Composition: argumentative rhetoric, comparitive and contrast, basic grammar and punctuation. It is a great course for those students who are starting out in the university.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You always have to stay on top on the assignments because every day the teacher ask what you read for last class and what you think about the journal.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to every individual who feels like they arrived to college and have not yet been able to develop great communication and writing skills. If you come from another country thing this class is very helpful in order to understand the basics of english literature and writing that will allow you to increase your performance in terms of vocabulary, written and oral expression.

    Course highlights:

At the beginning of the year, I believed my english writing was very good in comparison to others. It ended up being half true; yes I was good, but in a high school level. Entering college can be difficult and not getting used to the way things work can make it harder. In this class every assignment is different but similar at the same time. I wrote definition essays, where I learned the power of a word, I wrote compare contrast essays that taught me how to analyze a poem and a song and I even did some health research; even if they are different topics. what I was doing was improving my written skills and each day they keep getting better.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

For someone taking this course, I would advice to pay close attention. And because it might result to seem easy for some people I would tell them not to take it too lightly. It might not be that difficult, but it is definitely worth spending time and doing the research and assignments correctly. I would also tell them to follow instructions, always get your assignments submitted on time and don't go to class to be on your cellphone all the time.
