    | Would not recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would not recommend this class unless you are a it's major or very behind in technology. It is required for business majors to take it, but could be updated to fit the age of students coming in.

    Course highlights:

I learned about the motherboard of a computer, how a computer starts up, where the computer stores it's memory, and excel worksheets.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Only take it if you absolutely have to. If you have to take it try to take it online, or get very familiar with teaching yourself from the book. Don't worry too much about the power points.

    | Would highly recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this class because it covers the very basics of computer systems that are needed in almost every business environment. These include programs such as Excel. The instructor also uses a very easy homework system that helps you learn the programs, navigate them and test on them. The grading was easy and the work load is light.

    Course highlights:

Great introduction for Microsoft Excel and Access. The instructor uses SimNet which makes it a very easy class and the work load is light.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

All you need to do is log into SimNet and watch videos. It is that easy. I would recommend that you spend one night on this class and you could be done for the week. I always watched the training videos then took the test. This made the test easy because the material was fresh. No need to read the text book. His quiz's are over the chapters, but all questions and answers come from the cliff note version in the lesson readings online that you can even open in a separate window while taking test. He even says you can do this.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

MIS Intro to Business Information System

    Course highlights:

Highlights of the course are the useful online study aids that guide you and help you to learn and understand how Excel and Access work which are a huge part of almost every business.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Advice is to stay on top of the work. Don't wait until the last minute to get everything done, and actually use SIMNET to learn the activities and not just breeze through it with the answers provided. Take the time to actually learn and understand why and how excel works and the long hand way of doing it instead of just the short cuts.
