    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Its challenging but the lessons are a bit vague and lack examples. On one hand it is nice to be challenged to come up with unique solutions by thinking out of the box. But on the other hand when you fail a submission because of a lack of following a guideline, when the guideline was not expressed at the beginning can be frustrating.

    Course highlights:

The course was very challenging and felt I learned how to solve problems and think out of the box. These things are crucial when attacking marketing problems in the real world since there is no set rule book and the field of marketing is ever changing and evolving so developing that skill is crucial and I believe this class does a good job of getting that mindset established.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Think outside the box, research, and find a solution, don't get frustrated if you fail a assignment, just use it as a stepping stone to do better on the next one, the beginning is the hardest part. After you get a feel for it and how its structured it gets a lot easier.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

The teacher has the most straightforward exams. The course materials, to be honest, is not attractive to me because I'm not a marketing major. but still good enough. Easy to get an A.

    Course highlights:

5% extra credits if attending research studies. Just a few assignments. NOT a lot of work.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Just make sure review before the exams. Her questions are simple if you get all concepts clearly.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

MKTG is more than just shoving products and/or services down the public's throats. Professor McDermott is very knowledgable on the topic and explains the material very well. It is interesting to see how marketing is done and how much is really being shown to consumers. Once you open your eyes to marketing, it opens up a different world.

    Course highlights:

I have learned that marketing is more on how people are studied by marketers, and how they showcase products/services to them. It is amazing how much companies know about us a consumers, such as our likes, interests, dislikes, sites we visit, clothes we buy, videos we watch, etc.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take it! It is more interesting than you think. I am really into business, but anyone with an interest in such a topic should definitely learn it if they can. It can help you in your personal life, and even your professional career.
