Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class was taken back in 2001 but it wasnt available on the drop down. It transformed my thinking regarding socioeconomic issues of our society. Also recommend Sociology Social Inequality! You will do yourself a disservice to attend Penn State University Park and not take this course.

    Course highlights:

How to have a broad understanding of how society is structured and how the impact of division has affected our society and how unity can help us to heal our socioeconomic wounds. Here in America and abroad.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Come into the course with an open mind. The professor is very progressive and has done his dissertation around the globe. So he has seen a lot of global injustices. And he has a very strong ideology towards the idiosyncrasies of our society and the need for public awareness about the corruption that occurs and the injustice that prevails domestically and abroad.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Though I took this course nearly 6 years ago, I do remember thoroughly enjoying the diversified course content. It was very enlightening.

    Course highlights:

Consumed with arrogance, narrow-mindedness, and ignorance, I had a confusing world view, and an awful perspective on the world and all the various cultures it consists of. This sociology course began to broaden my perspective, and soften my heart toward other humans.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

It's always important to read the assigned chapters mandated by the professor, and take lots of notes. I always paid close attention to the professor and the things he said. It was proved to be rewarding in ways I never imagined.
