    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Xu is an enthusiastic professor and it reflects in her lectures. However, she does read frequently from PowerPoint Slides which can get monotonous. There are plenty of in-class activities and CogLab which help to emphasize the material discussed.

    Course highlights:

You obtain a deeper understanding of cognitive psychology in the areas of memory, research studies, sensation and perception, etc. The most prominent lesson I had learned was regarding language and how humans process language and perceive situations.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The book can be helpful, but is not actually necessary to succeed in the course. The professor does upload all of the lecture slides and underlines key terms to be on the exams.
