Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to any non-science major interested in Chemistry. This course has a lab component so it is very hands on. We did various labs from separating the dyes from soda to making our own soap. Professor Cuppett is always more than willing to help students who need it. Also, it is always a benefit to be able to show off the chemistry knowledge that you will gain from the class. Finally, the course suffices as a general science credit, which you will need to graduate.

    Course highlights:

Chemistry 101 helped me a lot with basic Algebra because we did a lot of problem solving in the class. That basic knowledge has helped me piece through the real life math questions in business classes. Next, I learned that in science attention to detail is everything. I would highly advise anyone going into the science that they should be comfortable redoing an experiment countless times until it is perfect. Lastly, my professor was a good mentor and helped me to determine my current major in school.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Students taking this class should definitely read the textbook. It is very difficult to learn any thing related to science without reading about it. Most importantly, students must attend class. That should not have to be stated, but sadly a lot of students do no attend class. These people who do not go to class usually do not pass.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

An excellent teacher with a great attitude. She's a younger professor, so she knows how to engage to the students in an interesting way

    Course highlights:

The highlights were that everything was broken down. The equations and the terminology seemed easier due to how she presented it.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you need help, go to office hours and talk with your TA's, as well as going to exam reviews because they are very correlated and help with test prep.
