    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Although this course was challenging I really learned a lot throughout the semester. There are plenty of opportunities to broaden your knowledge as well as work individually, in groups, and even with the professor. The professor is reasonable and offers many ways to earn points and better your grade.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was the final project we had to complete. For the last several weeks of the course we were tasked with creating a player for a game that could move toward a goal while avoiding obstacles both moving and stationary. This project really allowed me to go off on my own and learn some new programming techniques while enforcing the ones I had just newly learned. Even though it was not the easiest project I really enjoyed working through the challenge it put forward.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the assigned reading and homework and don't hesitate to do extra practice if you think you need it. If you liked IST 140 you will most likely enjoy this course.
