Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is great for anyone looking to go into rehabilitation or any sort of health field as it introduces a multitude of injuries and their etiology. It covers all the parts of the body from the head down to the feet and is very good at giving an introduction to different types of injuries. Dr. Miller provides as many demonstrations as he can to further help us learn the material and makes the exams very fair.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to identify different types of injuries and then the treatments for each. We also learned any contraindications for therapy for certain types of surgery and when to progress to higher levels of therapy. The course began by laying a solid foundation to understanding the mechanisms behind injury, pain, swelling, and the healing process so we could then understand progressions and treatments prescribed later.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Look over the powerpoints after class since it is a lot of information. But above all, come to class since you learn a lot from Dr. Miller's stories and experiences and he does some cool demos to help you remember the injuries you are talking about.
