    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend Econ 342 with Mark McLeod. He is a great professor who is very transparent with his notes and exams. Everything on the exam is taught and explained very well in class. His homework is exactly like his examples in class. He holds problem set office hours, where he is extremely helpful and tells you if your answer is wrong because you took the time to attend office hours. His midterms are easy, but the final exam is difficult because it is cumulative.

    Course highlights:

I loved this course because of the professor. You learn a lot about intro microeconomics, bundling, game theory, product differentiation, mergers, and more.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to office hours for problem sets to ensure that you get a 100 on each. Do very well on the midterms because the final exam is much harder. Attend lecture because he gives you all the notes you need. No need to buy a textbook.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class is very informative, yet challenging. McLeod is very straight-forward on what he expects of his students.

    Course highlights:

We learned a lot about Labor Markets and different theories and regulation associated with it. Simple algebra skills are required.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to class and take detailed notes. This professor literally tells you exactly what he expects of you on exams and does very detailed examples of sample problems. Also, the homework is graded on correctness, and weighs about the same collectively as one exam, so it only benefits you to do well on them.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course s tailored for students with an interest in economics of industry.

    Course highlights:

Theories of various industrial organizational structures and problems are developed, including monopoly, oligopoly, moral hazard and adverse selection. These theories are then applied to the study of various industries, antitrust cases, and regulatory issues.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

It is assumed that students have prior knowledge of some concepts perhaps from microeconomics. Therefore, it is advisable to revisit economic theory courses while taking this course.
