    | Would highly recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This course was a great literature course for any major. It teaches not only the foundation components of writing academic papers but teaches many strategies for writing as well as structuring a strong argument. The professor was the best part of the class. He really focused on the students as individuals and did everything in his power, including countless one on one conferences, so that under his watch every student improved.

    Course highlights:

I benefitted the most from the argumentative aspect of this class the most because the strategies for developing a good argument were very straightforward and easy to follow and ensure a well round argument backed up by claims and facts and it also taught you how to fill any gaps or underlying assumptions your argument may have had.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take Lance. No matter what your writing skills are, even advanced beyond the scope of the class he will help you build on that and improve.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

The course is vastly interesting. You study the way message comes across in several different platforms, such as speeches and commercials. As well, you learn to compose your rhetoric to further enhance your work.

    Course highlights:

One highlight of the course is the film analysis. It is not only an analysis of rhetoric in the film, but in the culture of the film. You even contact students from the country where the movie is from to help in your analysis.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay very close attention to the material you learn in class. It is nearly ninety percent of the components you apply to your work.
