Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class was very interesting and I learned a lot about so many great pieces of artwork!

    Course highlights:

I really enjoyed the power points that the teacher would use and give to us in order to take notes it was very helpful in memorizing the information.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to study A LOT!!!! If you do not study each piece of artwork that you learn about then you will not do well in this course. Memorization is key. You will be given a hundred or so pieces of artwork to memorize and only 8-10 will be on each test but you need to know enough about them in order to write a short essay on them.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be at all. My art classes in grade school have always been hands on and that has helped me receive good grades, so I came into Art 100 concerned about learning art through lectures. The lectures were actually interesting, and I came to every class even though attendance wasn't mandatory. It's so important to study the power points when studying for the tests! Also, the professor tells you everything that you should expect on the test, so you aren't surprised when you receive the test. You should be well prepared for the tests come exam time. The final exam was semi-cumulative, only because of the final essay. Other than the last essay on the final, the final is in the same format as the first two tests. I would highly recommend this course!

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was learning art pieces from all different parts of the world in all different eras. After taking this course, I went to the Philadelphia Museum of Art and was able to recognize tons of different art pieces that I wouldn't have been able to before taking the course.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Even though class is not mandatory, I would recommend coming to class. The information that the professor says during the lectures is very valuable for the essays on the tests. It's important to study the power points.
