    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is necessary in learning what a contract really is and how easily one can enter into it without really knowing it.

    Course highlights:

We enter to contracts on a daily basis, from purchasing that cellular phone with an arbitration agreement to parking in a parking lot that says park at your own risk. It's a contract but whether its enforceable is a different story. I found it very interesting to learn that I, myself have unknowingly entered into some type o contract a time or two but of course ignorance of the law does not exempt you from its enforcement. There is a light at the end of the tunnel, i may have entered into a contract unwittingly, but I may have a way of escape depending o the type of contract entered. Be it a contract for service or for goods, I may have a defense through the statute of Frauds which in simple terms it means that some contracts are required to be in writing and if they are not, they are not enforceable, there are exceptions to this rule like with all others but that is what is so great about learning, it s a never ending process and I am still in it.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure that you do all assigned reading before class. After class be sure to go over those notes the same day to make sure that you understand what you were just taught. Write down the things that you feel you have issues with and contact your instructor about them immediately. Please do not wait if you are having any type of difficulty. There is never a stupid question, ask if you don't understand something. Be sure to try practicing what you have learned. Apply it in some type of hypothetical situation to make sure you have a clear understanding of the information.
