    Course Overview:

    Theory is essential to every music student whether you're performing or teaching it. Dr. Dempster is one of the best teachers I've had.

    Course highlights:

    I gained a new understanding and appreciation for harmony in music that I never realized was so divers and complex.

    Advice for students:

    Practice as much as possible and make sure to study and ask as many questions as you need.

    Course Overview:

    Well if you have a love for music like I do but don't know the basic fundamentals, this course will teach you all you need to know.

    Course highlights:

    My highlights were gaining a deeper understanding about certain things I heard about but didn't fully understand the concept of. In this course, everything is completely broken down in order for you grasp the concept and to not get left behind.

    Advice for students:

    My advice would to be to always study and make a study group because everyone is going to need someone in this course and no one is going to leave you behind. Take notes and always be attentive .

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

    I definitely recommend this course to anyone who wants to take music seriously, you get a perspective on why music sounds the way it does and the basics on every thing.

    Course highlights:

    I learned about different types of triads from major, minor, augmented, diminished. I learned how to part write for four voices soprano alto tenor and bass.

    Advice for students:

    Study everything you never know when its going to come back or how it will apply towards the next thing.
