    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is the most daunting course I have taken at College of Charleston. However, if you keep up with the readings and study hard you can definitely earn an A. Professor Long really cares about his students and you learn so much about the world. It is a lot of work, so if you aren't motivated don't take it. But I would take this course again in a heart beat. It wasn't just a difficult course, but it is also the course i've learned the most in.

    Course highlights:

We were assigned an area of the world, and were required to to sign up for a subscription of the New York Times. We had to read daily articles on our area of the world and at the end of the semester we submitted a long paper and a collection of all the articles we read. This course really helped me learn about what was going on in the world on a global scale.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to class every day, work hard, and take advantage of his extra credit opportunities. The extra credit will really help at the end of the semester to get those few extra points you need!
