    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to future students. If you're looking for in depth lectures on the functions and forms of animals and plants then this is the right class for you.

    Course highlights:

The best part of this course would have to be lessons concerning the digestive, immune, and nervous system of animals and humans. B and T cells and how they cooperate with nephrons and macrophages is even more fascinating. Professor Everett also focuses a lot on plants as she is very passionate about them. The sexual and asexual reproduction of a plant is interesting but can be a little confusing at times.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Professor Everett is very passionate about her work and often uses PowerPoint presentations but she does give them to you ahead of time as well as presenting them in class. I would recommend giving this class at least 5 hours of study 3 days a week. And also remember to read the textbook although there is no official homework for this class reading the section discussed in class can help tremendously when it comes to pop quizzes, tests, etc. Her exams are all multiple choice but the questions are more about critical thinking and analyzing one word can make an entire answer wrong so read carefully. But even though this class can be difficult just stay positive, read, study and you should be fine.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Senn is one of the most amazing and effective professors I've had since I began my college career. She's genuine about having her students learn and comprehend all of the course material. Proudly speaking, because of her teaching skills, I made a 107 on her final exam!

    Course highlights:

The beginning the course was mainly about a reveiew of biology 111, which I didn't do so well in. In biology 112, I've learned a lot about plants (ex: water transport, parts of a flower, reproduction, etc.). Also, we touched basis on animal reproduction (ex: animal reproduction, the heart, germ tissues, etc.), which was the most interesting section, in my opinion.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Attend SI sessions!! SI sessions is held by a student who has taken the course before and did extremely well in. It's also a time to be able to relate to others who is taking the course. Also, read over the material before attending class. It help with comprehending the material the professor will be discussing in the next class.
