Course Overview:
I would recommend this course for students whose major requires higher levels of math or for those who just want to learn more about calculus.
Course highlights:
The highlight of this course was definitely the professor, Francisco Blanco-Silva because he was very humorous and energetic and made learning Calculus II very fun. He provided us with great examples and showed us how Calculus II can be applied to real world situations, especially with robots. In this course, I learned more about the fundamental theorem of calculus, how to find polar coordinates, volumes of revolutions with shells and washers, and the various series and sequences.
Hours per week:
6-8 hours
Advice for students:
For students that may take this course, I would advice them to always do a few extra practice problems outside of the required homework because they will help them during tests and quizzes. I also advice them to ask as many questions in class if they do not understand the material because he is very eager to answer them and will provide adequate explanations.
