Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is a great way to learn how to present material in a professional way. While this class was a challenge for me because I do not enjoy presenting in front of people, I feel more confident in my ability to present material in a professional and effective manner.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was the very end when we compared our first speech to our last speech. This was the highlight for me because I was able to see my progress on paper. From the first speech, I had made many improvements and my grade and the comments from my teacher and classmates proved it.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you are nervous about giving a speech, focus on one or two people in the class and imagine you are just talking to those people. This makes you feel like you are just talking to those one or two people. Also, if you plant to attend a large four year university after graduation, I recommend taking this class as a dual class to prevent from speaking in front of a large crowd like at a large college.

It allows for us as students to be able to share our own personal opinions and stories with the class in a new way, all while teaching us a valuable skill.

I learned how to speak publicly while being taught the main parts of giving a speech.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

It's great with a small class!!
