    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because Dr. Hendrick was a very engaging teacher who made it better to understand. She told many stories, but she also had challenging tests to ensure that students properly understood the material.

    Course highlights:

I learned about the Civil War and the problems in the South after the war and Reconstruction. I loved learning about the events leading up to the war and the ultimate cause of it. It was great to learn because she was very knowledgeable.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

To students considering this course, I would definitely say take it because you will gain a new love for history of the United States. Especially being from South Carolina, I did not realize how many influential people there were from my state that contributed to the world we live in today.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is fairly tough if you do not enjoy History. This professor is very knowledgeable about history but does not break it down very well. You are assigned several readings per week, he lectures in class and does not post his notes online, and there are no study guides for the tests. The grade for this class consists of 2 essay grades, the midterm exam, and the final exam.

    Course highlights:

The teacher knowing so much about this course helped for you to get a better understanding of the materials. Also he curves the final grades!

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

I say if you are really into history and have time for weekly reading then you will love this class
