Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course was great! I came into the class knowing nothing about sociology or even what the term meant but I came out of the class with a great grasp on the concept and many details. Professor Butler teaches a lecture based class and I would recommend taking notes but it is not impossible to understand without taking notes in class. He assigns a lot of homework online but encourages you to use the book and online sources to find the answers. He presents the information in a clear and concise way but also makes it very interesting. Overall I really enjoyed the class!

    Course highlights:

In SOCY 101 I learned the basics of sociology. This includes everything from the founders of sociology and all of the branches. The branches include topics such as gender, race, stratification, social media, and much more!

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

If you are looking for a class with no homework this is NOT the class for you! Although the homework is not hard it is slightly time consuming and requires a lot of referral to the textbook. I would recommend going to class, not just because he takes daily attendance, but because going to class reinforces the material presented in the homework and in the book and clarifies everything very well.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The professor was very engaging and made the study of human interactions very interesting.

    Course highlights:

The most interesting thing I learned was that humans often base their actions off of what they expect others to do.

    Hours per week:

    Advice for students:

You need to attend each lecture and read the chapter notes and supplemental readings outside of class in order to succeed.
