    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Francisco Blanco-Silva was a great professor and was always there when you needed help. He was easy to access and easy to talk to. The class was tough, but he made it a lot easier to understand.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were the different challenges we had to overcome. I learned how to think deeper and apply functions to real-life situations.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared for hard work and lots of studying!

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

He's funny, he's knowledgeable, but he doesn't really know how to connect with the students in an academic sense, in order to make the material more understandable.

    Course highlights:

I gained an in depth knowledge of derivatives and antiderivatives mostly through the SI sessions and through personal studying and group studying.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to class. It helps so much. Even if the teacher is terrible, seeing it on the board and taking those notes will help you in the long run.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

She is a great professor and there are always SI Sessions and tutors available for help. If you complete the exam reviews, you are much more likely to do well on her exams because they are similar. She has thorough and complete examples and explanations of the material in class.

    Course highlights:

I gained much more confidence in my calculus skills and abilities. After doing poorly on my first text, I learned to invest more time in practicing the material outside of class, and going to SI sessions and office hours.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely attend as many SI sessions as you can, even if you feel you know the material. Always complete the entire exam review because the exams are very similar to the reviews she puts online. Don't be afraid to seek help from her, she is a very understanding and helpful professor.
