    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class is required for nursing majors at USC, along with some other majors. It is a lot of information and often seems overwhelming even to the most organized students. This course combines constant memorization with difficult concepts and sometimes overly picky teachers, but after finishing the course, you will know so much more about the human body than ever before and will be well on your way to completing your (probably) medical major.

    Course highlights:

You go through each of the body systems like cardiovascular, renal, respiratory, and skeletal. Not only will you have to memorize large portions of each chapter, but you will also have to interpret contextual situations and explain the processes of how things work. And then at the end, you get to put it all together and explain how each system complements and overlaps other systems.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Quizlet. Flashcards. Study buddy. I also recorded the lectures and transcribed them after each class so I could read through my professor's actual words before each exam. If you don't find how to succeed after the first test, you won't do well in the course. The first exam is a great predictor for overall success in the class.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Great teacher, super helpful. love his first hand experiences.

    Course highlights:

He told us about his first hand patient cases relevant to each chapter. it was super interesting and helped me learn the material with real applications of the information.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

STUDY! you will not just 'get ' the material and automatically know it. you need to put in some time to actually study
