    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

    Dr. Rhodes is a very effective teacher. She plainly explains methods for successful writing. She is very helpful by reading numerous drafts and is willing to meet after class to assist students with their papers.

    Course highlights:

    I learned several tips for producing a cogent essay. My writing style improved under her teaching. I was well-prepared for subsequent classes.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

    Write drafts early. Use her note-taking method throughout the whole semester. It will help the portfolio grade.

    Course Overview:

    Roy Seeger is a great professor and appears to really enjoy the subject. The structure of the course helped facilitate learning and collegiate-level writing experience in freshmen of all experiences.

    Course highlights:

    I learned how to write collegiate-level essays, as well as how to do serious research for unfamiliar topics. Finally, I learned how to format a paper in MLA-style.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

    Students will need both the main textbook and the MLA textbook in order to succeed. I also advise students to attend office hours. Dr. Seeger loves to help students who need it, but you must take the first step and reach out for assistance.

    The professor grades very tough on papers but overall she is a good teacher.

    I learned a lot about writing papers and how to cite them.

    Really pay attention to any details that she goes over when helping you write a paper, it well help!
