    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course has taught me in great detail about the intricate and amazing civilizations that have built the world we know today. From early Egypt to Julius Caesar to the Age of Exploration, I have learned more in this history class (and retained it!) than any other Social Studies course I have taken. If you can handle heavy reading and critical thinking, I would definitely recommend it.

    Course highlights:

I learned so much history, thousands of years of it actually! But one of the most important things I took away from this course was a new perspective. Because of the importance in this course to think critically, I have seen connections between the world we live in today and every single civilization that has ever lived.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

It is imperative that you do not procrastinate in this course. It requires a heavy amount of reading and writing, and it is very easy to fall behind. Take advantage of your time wisely, and spread out your study time! Cramming in facts the night before a test will not help; with hundreds of names and dates to memorize, they will all blend together. Take advantage of the online review resources your professor provides you with as well.
