Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course, because initially I would hear from others how boring and/or hard the course was. After my studies, i realized how much sociology is a major part of our everyday lives. I was able to take the media for example and relate it sociology, and my life experiences as it relates to sociology and it allowed me to find the course more interesting than what others portrayed the course to be.

    Course highlights:

Areas with a population of low economic status would be targeted for projects such as landfills being located near these area. This taught me why, in life, money and knowledge both can equate to power.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay close attention to details, such as sociologists and their role in sociology

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is an overview of cultures and how they're studied. I ended up writing a paper on comic book heroes and their place in time. For example, Captain America was started right at the beginning of World War II. I didn't know you could write scholarly papers on such a subject!

    Course highlights:

The exploration of sexuality was interesting and I gave the professor some knowledge on polyamory, which was not only not covered, but the professor had no knowledge of it, either.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

It's required, so take it seriously. Take each chapter as a separate subject, because they really are.
