    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

While the professor definitely keeps you the entire class period, she makes sure you learn everything. She does as many practice problems as it takes for you to get it right.

    Course highlights:

Thermochemistry, acids and bases, calorimetry, kinetics, rate laws, rate constants, solubility, mechanisms, Hess's Law, electrochemistry.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

She provides lots of study and practice material. Use them!

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Very informative. It was hard but the teacher holds you accountable for the information in stead of spoon feeding you test answers. If you take this class you will leave with a firm understanding of chemistry

    Course highlights:

This specific course dealt alot with electron transfer. It went into detail of oxidation states, and electromotive series. It was very cool to learn the facts about why things we take for granted are happening. (Like how batteries work)

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the homework. Watch youtube videos. Its not so much about plugging numbers in, but knowing HOW and WHY to use what numbers. This is especially true with the first section of the class

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class is challenging! Stay on top of every single assignment and study every single night. Most of the material is 'plug and chug' information that you repeatedly plug into equations to get the correct answer. Utilize Khan Academy regularly if you are struggling or just want to get extra help.

    Course highlights:

This class was great because it builds on topics from CHM 110 (Chemistry 1) and goes in depth about WHY certain reactions occur, why formulas are used, and why molecules react the way they do.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not let yourself fall behind. Start studying on day one and if you ever for a second feel as though you are getting lost in the material, talk to your teacher. This class is difficult because most students are not willing to put in the extra time that is required to succeed.
