    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I highly recommend the course. Although art history is not everyone's cup of tea, it is interesting to see the history of how many art techniques and forms were developed. Also, to be able to get an insight of why an artist may have created a specific piece based on the time period and environment around them made the class more interesting.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of the course was learning about art starting in the 1950's and to current times. The 1950's was the start of new and crazy ideas for art techniques. I learned a general overview of the history of art and was able to use what I learned in class to help further my studies in Early Western Art and Western Art.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

What I recommend is downloading a copy of the powerpoints provided by the instructor (if they provide it) and have it out on your laptop during lecture. This way you can pace yourself along with the instructor and not have to spend so much time cramming down as much information as you can in your notes. Also, make sure to take the time to read the chapters gone over in class after each lecture. Reading ahead helps as well so that you are ready for the next chapter.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend it. The basics and historical understanding of art are essential to any aspiring artist and allows for dexterity of creativity.

    Course highlights:

Exploration of techniques and categories of art.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Relax and study in small intervals. Don't cram all your learning into a single session. Ask for help if you need it.
