Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I took this course online during the fall semester and really enjoyed the material in the curriculum. The drama, fiction, and poetry represented a wide variety, and provided an excellent sampling in the field of literature.

    Course highlights:

One of the highlights of this course was the discussions that took place. Taking the class online, my fellow students and I used a discussion board, where we could start our own conversation threads, or respond to those of others. Not only were the students responsible for taking part in the discussions, our professor also participated. I learned many details in themes, characters, and motives from the thoughtful insights and questions the professor was faithful to post in the discussions. Her knowledge and expertise opened my eyes to many things in the literature we studied.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

In this course I would advise a student to take time to read the material thoroughly. Details hold keys to insights, and cliff notes or simply skimming the books would not provide these benefits. Another way to be successful in the class is to go above and beyond the minimum requirements in the discussion posts. Read all of the discussions posted and reply to multiply posts each day.
