Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

For students enrolling at Trident Technical College, she is a wonderful teacher who helps everyone in class learn the fundamentals of Spanish. It is daunting at first, but the feeling soon wears off as you find yourself becoming more comfortable with the language after every passing day.

    Course highlights:

I learned most basic verbs, nouns, and phrases commonly spoken among native Spanish speakers and got to meet very interesting people in my class along the way with all the group work we were assigned to do.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

You can do it having not taken a previous Spanish course, however it will be rough not having seen any of the material before as the class moves at a very fast pace.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It was rewarding but it was also challenging. Professor Novak wants you to learn but she is also a very tough grader. Always ask questions. The only thing that made it hard was that she is the department head so of course she is a tougher teacher.

    Course highlights:

I learned time management. When the professor offers extra credit jump at it. This was a tougher because it was a 7 week compressed schedule. I learned to buckle down because you are learning a chapter a day basically.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do all the work sheets and extra practice questions in the online Spanish program. That is what helped the most. The quizzes that were given also gave us a way to gauge if we understood the chapter. Don't be afraid to say that you don't get because it could help in the long run to get the correct pronunciation.
