    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Though this was an online course, Dr. Caya made herself readily available in all situations. During the semester, Hurricane Matthew came through the Charleston, SC area and shut down the school for a few days. She made sure she was accessible and also checked on the students to assure we were still doing well with our families and with the coursework. "People do not care how much you know, until they know how much you care", Dr. Caya showed us how much she cared and how knowledgeable she was as well.

    Course highlights:

I learned a great deal more of how the mind develops with the body and how there are similarities in different parts of the world but also what makes them different by the socio economic influences and their cultural aspects on each individual. I have a better understanding on aging, Alzheimer's disease and how to cope with death.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

If you are going into the nursing field, it is a recommended course. But it is very important to learn from the coursework, as you will have to apply it to everyday life and to the patients you will come into contact through your nursing career.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Bellack is an amazing professor. He gives wonderful responses to his students questions. The book was very easy to follow as well.

    Course highlights:

I loved learning about the development in adolescents. I enjoyed the birthing process the most. As a mother and future Ob-Gyn I love the study of pregnancy and infant development.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Study, read each page, answer all of the questions, and then interact on the web program.
