Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Course Overview:
I would take this class over all math classes. I am not good with math but I felt like this class was straight forward. There were not many formulas you had to remember and the teacher knew exactly what she was teaching.
Course highlights:
I finally learned the probability of picking the blue marble out of a jar! But really, learned how to calculate the probability of a certain topic whether it was marbles, cards, how many different types of meals, outfits, etc. For once I actually felt like I used something in a math class that I would sometime use in real life!
Hours per week:
6-8 hours
Advice for students:
Just to follow the videos, and do the homework over and over. I took this class as an online class and it also had a discussion board for the students and teachers if we had any trouble with the problems which was great!
Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Course Overview:
This class is hard if you do not stay on top of your work . In this class you mostly use calculators and your textbook.
Course highlights:
It's about probability and statistics but it goes more depth into it. If you do not have your calculator TI-89 you will fail this class. I've learned you cannot do this without an calculator.
Hours per week:
6-8 hours
Advice for students:
USE YOUR CALCULATOR and do not PROCASTINATE
Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Course Overview:
This was a hard course but it required a lot of thinking and self learning skills that are very helpful for other courses.
Course highlights:
The highlights consisted of the four units that were taught. We learned many helpful tools on different calculators and learned more about prob and stats and the math problems required for this course.
Hours per week:
3-5 hours
Advice for students:
Make sure to do the activities that are not for a grade, but help with the learning of new material. Also be ready for the self teaching skills required for this course, the teacher does help but most material is hard to learn so you must put in a lot of time of your own to study.
