Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Galloway-Holmes is a fantastic professor who truly cares about the success of her students. She gives simple quizzes the beginning of class on readings she asked you to read prior and then goes over the quiz and readings in great detail so it is understood. This is very useful for her writing assignments that are due on Fridays that are fairly easy but assist with improving all students writing skills. Professor Galloway-Holmes picks interesting readings and will help with all of them until her students understand. She even has in-class conferences the class before papers are due so students can get the full extent of help needed.

    Course highlights:

Professor Galloway-Holmes was a highlight of this course. She always had a happy and positive attitude and was very outgoing. This made the course much less boring than most composition and literature courses usually are. I learned how to explicate poems through practice in class as well as through a paper we had to write. I also learned comprehensive skills through reading stories before class and analyzing them after.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

When going over the readings in class, definitely takes notes. You can then use these notes for your writing assignments due on Fridays. Also, make sure you read the readings assigned to ensure you get a good grade on the quizzes. As long as you read the readings you will be sure to get a good grade on the quizzes. Try hard and even if you don't succeed Professor Galloway-Holmes will assist you as much as you need as long as you are trying and care about your grade.
