    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

    This course is something VERY serious. I've had to take this course more than once. College Algebra takes a lot of focus and attention skills. The course itself is a MUST to get through college so there's NO WAY around it really. This is a course that you must be take serious and stay on task, because if not your taking a chance of being in the position on having to re-take course.

    Course highlights:

    The highlights of this course was algebra and lots of it. I learned that completing the homework assignments really helped on the section tests. The most important thing I learn was you have to keep up in work in a timely matter.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

    Stay focused and pay close attention when taking notes. Take plenty of notes because it helps on homework and test.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

    This class is challenging for those of us who aren't mathematically inclined, but the instructor does a good job explaining the concepts and making it understandable.

    Course highlights:

    I learned that even I can survive a college level math class.

    Advice for students:

    Study, study, study. Go to the tutoring lab on campus. Watch KhanAcademy videos until it makes sense. You're going to have to work for your grade, but it's worth it.

    Course Overview:

    The teacher was very clear with her instructions, homework, and tests.

    Course highlights:

    The teacher over time introduced us to various programs for our graphing calculators that made the class much easier .

    Take it in your first semester.
