Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course, because the professor allowed every student to work together as a team, especially when we had lab. He would also help each student individually. In this course we learned the DNA structure, we studied the cell membrane, used microscopes so that we could see with our own eyes what we actually seen in the text book. We had an opportunity to dissect an animal so that we could see and locate all of the organs in the body. Being able to learn in the classroom and then be more hands on in the lab was amazing, It helped to connect the pieces to the puzzle as you were learning and helped for the students to be able to retain the information.

    Course highlights:

I enjoyed dissecting and locating the organs in the animals. I also enjoyed using the microscope because it allowed you to look at the small living organism. I really liked the open discussion that we had in class. It gave the students an opportunity to state their answers, opinions, or questions to the teacher and the class.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take notes and ask all questions. Do not be afraid to ask any question(s) that cross your mind pertaining to this course. You're there to learn and to understand all information given to you. For me writing out the definitions in this course helped me. It was like a process. Take the words and study the definitions of the words, then look at the picture, layout and try to label a particular thing by focusing on the word and definition and the function. Make note cards. I would trace the pictures in the book and try to label each item.
