    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course, the teacher is great and does a good job of covering and connecting the material. We started out by learning the chemistry of a cell and went all the way up to ecosystems, but the professor connected all of the information the entire time. Also, the lab always correlated well with the lecture, making it possible to learn the information better.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to connect information that was taught with other information that I already had. Also, since summer classes go much shorter than fall and spring classes, I learned how to study more information at one time and how to handle it.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

It is a very fast-paced class, several chapters are taught during each lecture, so really try and understand the information during the lab, apply it during the lab, and ask questions if you don't understand, ask. If you fall behind on the information it is hard to catch up.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class was more difficult than it should have been. Time reading the book and doing the homework in strongly recommended, as Dr. Wu's lectures are not enough to understand the course material.

    Course highlights:

I did not learn much from this course. Basically, this class covers basic biology and cellular functions. Some of the information about DNA replication may be useful in the future, but there was not much that I found useful.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The best way to study for tests is to go through practice exams and the end of the chapter questions. Reading the book is also vital because it makes the lectures easier to understand.
