Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I had no understanding of biology before taking this course and Professor Smith helped me greatly. He is so passionate during his lectures, it is impossible not to learn something.

    Course highlights:

I learned about evolution, the processes of meiosis and mitosis, eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells, the environment and different areas of the world, cancer, patterns of inheritance, and much more. The largest highlight was having a professor who clearly cared about his students.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Always read the chapters assigned. They improve your understanding for the tests so much. Go to every lecture and stay engaged.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is a great "starter" class. It gives you all of the general material that you are going to need for later classes that will be more in depth. It's overall very informative.

    Course highlights:

I learned about cells and how they all work together. I have also learned how DNA goes through transcription and translation to become a protein. I have learned how mutations occur and more thorough information about cancer.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would tell students considering this course to go over the material the same day. Just review the notes you took so it stays with you longer. And like always, never procrastinate when studying for any tests, it usually never leads to success.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Professor is highly engaging and is not afraid to call out students who are goofing around and distracting the people around them. Material is easy to understand and the exams don't surprise you with stuff you never covered.

    Course highlights:

Learned the basics of biology which are the building blocks for pretty much any biology related courses.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not be that person that whispers and chats up your friends during this class. You will regret it. Your friends will regret it. You will more likely then not be caught and be called out in front of 200+ other people. Also for the love of all that is holy go to class, attendance is recorded and if you don't go your grade will suffer. Always check D2L because this course is quiz heavy, though you get 2 shots per quiz.
