Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Barb is an amazing instructor and she really works to make the classroom an enjoyable, fun, and welcoming space! It is a speech class, so there is tension already in that for some people, but with Barb the pressure is lifted because you feel like you're among friends. You still have to work, though, you can't sluff-off in this class! Missing a speech will affect your whole grade!

    Course highlights:

The main highlight of this class was being more comfortable public speaking at the end. And that's saying something, because I'm pretty shy to begin with! We also learned to work as a team in group assignments and we learned how to give feedback.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to speak in front of your classmates, and be prepared with your speech as well, because you'll be turning in hard copies. You also need to be dedicated to completing the corse work, and make sure to show up for class!!!

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because it really helped me as well as my classmates come out of our shells. The atmosphere in the classroom was laid back and comfortable and the teacher was extremely kind. This type of atmosphere allowed me to feel more comfortable when I gave my speeches, because I felt like I wasn't being judged by everyone.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was probably getting to know my classmates and my teacher. I made many new friends and what their interests were based on their speech topics. It was interesting to listen to everyone's different ideas and interests!

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed in this course, I would recommend starting your speeches early and making sure you understand how to format your outline and speech correctly. If you don't understand something, be sure to ask your classmates or even your instructor.
